Thai Army Prepares For Move Against "Red Shirts" in Bangkok

Apparently, the army is waiting for women and children to be evacuated before they decide to move in on a hotel in Bangkok.

How oh so humanitarian of the army. Perhaps if the current head of state was not put in place by a military coup in 2006 then these protests wouldn't be happening.

What's that? Military coup? Yes, it happened and these protests are NOT the first, they are just the biggest thus far considering the rest of the world has practically ignored the fact that the "democratic" system the Thai populous is supposed to believe and have faith in has been contradicted by the military. Can someone say "fascism" or how about "dictatorship"? Does that float the boat a little more evenly?

This is absolutely ridiculous. I'm not taking sides of the government or the organized movement of the UDD. (For more info, check the UDD wiki @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_United_Front_of_Democracy_Against_Dictatorship)

..I just find it ridiculous that over 60 people have died so far and all of them are civilians...yet this is not getting the media attention it deserves. How many more people need to die at the hands of a dictator-run military before people take notice? 100, 200, 300, 1,000?  This number could keep going before anyone actual realizes that there is a serious problem here...
...Remember Rwanda? How many civilians died there before anyone took notice or cared (I'm not saying the Rwandan Genocide and the Thai protests have any relevance to one another, just using it for comparison purposes).

Here's a link to the article about the military move on the hotel.

If you're planning on travelling to Thailand, specifically Bangkok, you may want to make a slight detour.

Note: Above picture shows civilian protesters in Bangkok after being fired upon by the army. That looks like a woman to me...sad... Courtesy of AFP.

If you want to be a good citizen - Support your banks you ungrateful "patriot"

Ohhhh now I couldn't pass over this one at all.

Citizen's Bank Advertisement

Have a look at this advertisement for Citizen's Bank (from the US). The ad basically tries to pass the message on to viewers that in order to fulfill your job as a United States citizen you must show your support for the banks.

Good Banking Is Good Citizenship  - THAT'S their new slogan?!?!?!

Have a peek for a disgusting piece of monetary propaganda.

Don't forget to note the best part where the one actor states "My savings are another person's mortgage".

...Priceless...

I ask this one question..... "Are people stupid enough to believe this sh*t?"

I've failed to mention that my educational background is a degree in Communications Studies with a diploma and major in Advertising and Marketing.  With my experience, sadly, the answer to the above question is "Yes."

Sell something to someone that they do not need...whether that be a service such as Citizen's Bank or an idea such as Citizen's Bank

Here's the YouTube link to the commercial.   CLICK HERE

Good Evening,

This is a Blog You Want to Check Out!

I stumbled across this awesome!!! blog. http://www.religiouscriticism.com

This guy pretty much details his life and his belief (or disbelief) regarding religion. He presents himself as a straight-forward atheist who cannot find any reason whatsoever for believing in the almighty CREATOR!! *cue "epic" music*

The funny thing about this is that his "20-something" girlfriend is VERY VERY VERY VERY religious and very very very much so believes in a creator of the universe (e.g. God).

Seem's like a match made to end..."But she's hot. And talented. And we do get on great, for the most part".

For an awesome read, keep up to date with the latest religious criticism @ www.religiouscriticism.com

You can also follow him on twitter @   twitter.com/religiouscritic

Cheers,

Is The Greek Debt Crisis a crisis for ALL?

Greece is in big financial trouble there is no denying that. But this crisis which is plaguing the Greek financial system is being made to appear as if it will topple the entire economic structure of the world if it is allowed to get any worse. It seems kind of hard to believe that an economy collapsing such as Greece's will be able to STRONGLY affect the rest of the world especially when you figure that the Greek economy is around 2% the size of the United States'.

Most of the governments in western society are operated by debt-based economies. These monetary structures are dependent on the banks creating money out of nothing (whereas money used to be backed by a physical item such as gold) and loaning it out to other nations. Interest on the loans is how the more dominant countries keep power and maintain the status quo. But what happens when the interest on these loans keeps piling up and getting larger and larger? Well....the country then just borrows more money to pay off the interest and keep its head above water. Essentially, what countries such as Greece are doing is paying off the interest on the debt with more debt-laden money which will lead to MORE debt. It's an endless "get f**ked" circle.

Right now the question you are asking is "Why is a country that is so stricken with debt and on the verge of bankruptcy allowed to borrow more money?" The answer lies in the fact that banks such as the IMF and European Central Bank want the debt cycle to keep going indefinitely so that they can continue to make money and continue to keep power where they believe it should be. If a country is allowed to go bankrupt then the banks can no longer exploit the country any more and thus do not continue to increase profit.

Now all of a sudden we start seeing "austerity measures" being introduced not only in Greece but all over the world. Why would the international banks be trying to tell us that the economies around the globe are in jeopardy and there is a need to introduce certain measures? One world currency and a world government seem to be likely answers but only time will tell.

If the grand scheme of things leaned towards a world government and currency you may now be asking, "how?". If you have many once powerful nations slowly spiraling into bankruptcy and begging for help I'd be willing to bet that the international banks will be ready and waiting with a solution to the problem that they helped create. The HUGE problem with this is that in order for nations to adopt a solution such as a world currency or world government the times must be very, very desperate - for all luxuries as you know it such as any form of social "assistance" (health care, education, etc) will be stripped away as the nation would not be able to afford it anymore. If the people feel that their situation could not get any worse ANY solution that promises to bring them out of their bank-induced hell would be accepted with open arms. This is what is scary - the fact that this is a very real possibility.

Might see this floating around the Greater Toronto Area

Here`s a flyer for the blog that you may see floating around the Toronto area, especially the downtown core. Feel free to pass it along.

Gulf Oil "Spill" Could Kill Oceans

Dropping a 100 ton weight/funnel made of solid concrete over a mile below the ocean floor at pressure unimaginable to humans has never been attempted before. The river of oil flowing from the Deepwater Horizon Well could very well lead to the worst environmental disaster in history with irreversible implications. I don't think people are actually grasping this concept of how bad this actually is....let me put it into perspective....

The hole is 5 feet in diameter and is CONSTANTLY spewing oil out at a pressure of over 70,000 PSI. Now think...the average household pressure washer (yes the thing you blast water at your car with to clean it) has a maximum (on average) of 2000-3000 PSI (and that's on the high end gas powered models). You're household unit is enough to strip the paint off your vehicle and actually cause bodily harm to a person. The pressure from the well is almost 25 times more powerful then your house pressure washer...and no one constantly runs their pressure washer ALL DAY AND NIGHT for over a week...now you see how bad this is?

As the article states, human science and technology pushed their limits when they tapped this oil reserve at over a mile below the ocean and 30,000 feet below the ocean floor. It was bad enough that a "supposed" bubble of methane came up the drill column and caused the oil rig to explode exposing a hole which may have originally been gushing 5,000 gallons a day. Yet, what caused the enormous hole was how when the oil rig exploded it keeled over on one side then proceeded to flip over as it sunk landing directly on top of the gushing well further expanding the diameter of the hole.

I'm usually not frightened or nervous of what doom-sayers forecast, but I think this is wayyyyyy past the "doom-sayer logic" and should actually be looked at as a possible reality that the future of our environment may not be what we envisioned it to be. The leak needs to be stopped as soon as possible, even if it is humanly possible to stop it.. The 100 ton concrete plug actually failed when it was lowered down as crystals were forming at the mouth due to some chemical reaction between methane and petroleum ultimately clogging the hole meant to slow the flow of oil down.

Who wants to take bets that BP either goes bankrupt or pretty damn close to it?

Have a peek at the article, pretty interesting stuff. Click here!

Cheers to, hopefully, a better tomorrow,

ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT? Yeah right..

Found this article earlier today on the internet.

One world government? Great...that's all the world needs, that and a nuclear winter.

Apparently the calling of a one world government (AKA New World Order?) is in hopes of avoiding another worldwide financial crisis....Makes TONS of sense when the crisis is the responsibility of greedy banks and unethical financial practices - a crisis that could have been avoided does not require a one world government.

Some people's kids...

Hi: I`m with Stup..I mean Religion

Dawkins's The God Delusion (The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins (Paperback - Jan. 16, 2008))
Will always consider science over faith and theory any day. I say that a supreme higher being does not exist because it has not been proven and for many other reasons. Some of which are outlined in the book. The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins. This book was given to me as a gift from my brother.

The author is known best for something that I can appreciate completely. He had the ``nerve`` to question the world around him. Dawkins´ criticisms of creationism and intelligent design are noted in several literary works.

A self-proclaimed atheist, secular humanist, skeptic, and rationalist, Discover magazine labelled Dawkins as `Darwin`s Rottweiler``

The God Delusion has sold over 2 million copies and has been translated into more than 30 languages.

I laughed at the fact of how when I went to purchase the book from Amazon for a friend of mine there was a suggested book called God is No Delusion: A Refutation of Richard Dawkins.

So for a good read check out The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins and for an read based strictly on entertainment check out God is No Delusion: A Refutation of Richard Dawkins and prepare to laugh your a$$ off.

    Cheers,

Warning: Drawing a picture may lead to death

RE: That whole thing with the creators of South Park receiving death treats from some radical Muslim website because the show had a depiction of the prophet Muhammad (OH NO! NOT A F**KING DRAWING!!)

Muslims (especially those of the radical sector) need to learn that it's perfectly OK to make fun of their own religion....people do not need to die because of it. Perhaps it will change as time goes on and followers of Islam will realize they were completely overreacting. I remember my grandfather telling me stories of when he was a child and how he would get BEAT with a ruler or a leather strap if he were to speak ill of the church. But as time went on and society advanced, the modern world of Christianity realized that beating someone based on personal religious opinion was unfounded and utterly ridiculous. If this were true, I would have been transformed into ground beef at the hands of the mighty Christian instrument of measurement.

I for one will be fully willing to participate and encourage everyone else to do the same!

Couple Arrested Trying to Cross Into the US to go Shopping

Basically, in THIS AUDIO CLIP a couple from Mississauga, Ontario are trying to cross the US/Canada border in April and are stopped and questioned by US border guards then detained for asking questions regarding the STUPID questions that are being asked of them.

Remind me never to cross the border to go shopping in Niagara Falls again - ....These border guards are power hungry jerks and apparently this is standard protocol. Listen to the part where the officer says they stop 3 terrorists A DAY from entering the US. Apparently there are tons of terrorists in Canada.

The officer also goes on to state that they do not have to give any reasons for detaining the couple whatsoever and can arrest them for ridiculous reasons - what happened to probable cause? or did the Patriot Act come into play here? I agree with the husband...The system is F*ked.

Husband: "What are you going to do, shoot me?"

Officer: "IS THAT A THREAT?"

This is priceless....Have a listen.

Officer: "As soon as you pulled away from my officer, that was assault OK"

Not touching someone is considering assault? Weird..

Another important executive decision...

FIRST POST! WOOOO

Ok So here g0es...First post...This is where I'm supposed to introduce the website right? ...Sure...Ok then...

This blog touches upon the the 3 very topics that are generally (or supposed to be) avoided in most conversations. Yep, you know it! Government, the economy and yes...Oh yes! RELIGION!

Personally, as a citizen of Canada and North America I have almost zero faith in the governing bodies of both the United States and Canada and for that matter most "democratic" nations overall as I have been let down, lied to, and felt isolated because of said governing bodies. I have no fear in admitting that and have got a lot of flack for speaking my mind on the subject. I have this idea that in a capitalistic society (oooohh there he goes - talking about the economy now..) the idea of placing trust in a group of social elite such as the government leaders whose bottom line is profit can have HUGE implications. After all, a government is a business FYI in case you've locked in some dark, damp, cold cellar for the last 2000 years.

It should be noted that I am not a conspiracy theorist. Those people actually irritate me as they blow things out of proportion and tend to provide information with huge bias that often pads the story in their favor WITHOUT researching all possible angles. Conspiracy theorist base their opinions on exactly that - Theories!

With that in mind, do I believe everything conspiracy theorists say? Of course not....
Does some of what they say make sense? Of course it does.....

I use conspiracy theories as ONE angle of many to approach a topic and try to gather facts regarding said topic. Therefore EVERYTHING stated within this blog will be truthful with research to back up each fact presented.

In case you're wondering why I chose to cover these three topics. It is because I believe these three things have the biggest impact on how people's lives are shaped and the ignorance that a large portion of the population has towards each of these topics is kinda ridiculous. I hope to provide a little transparency to each topics and perhaps a little accountability as well as I feel that each subject matter (government, economy, religion) are related to one another. (Oh C'mon, think about it. The laws dictated from the government in most democratic societies is based on Christian doctrine, and the government outlines the rules/regulations behind the earning, spending, investing etc.

PS. I'll save my opinion on religion for a little later...I need to stretch my typing fingers first, it's gonna be a long haul.

Cheers,

PSS. I just remembered I accidentally snapped the head off my TaylorMade driver at the driving range. Dammnit.
